An extensive range of accessories for the easy and quick installation of our products.

To profit fully from our range of products we offer specialised accessories. These accessories have been developed to make installation of our products as straightforward and as quick as possible.

Installation of weed fabrics, ground covers and mole netting
To secure weed fabrics, ground covers and mole netting, pins are available in different varieties. They vary in length and constituent materials, all the way down to biodegradable pins.

Installation of DuPont™ Plantex®
The weed fabric DuPont™ Plantex® Platinium may be installed in different ways. In addition to the Broof-Tech stitch®, developed by the RootBarrier Service Team, we offer various glueing techniques.  The glue used for this is RootBarrier® Glue 1KPU, which can be applied with the RootBarrier® Glueing Machine. Prior to the glueing process the machine is coated with RootBarrier® Anti-Stick.

Next, RootBarrier® ButylTape P10MS and RootBarrier® ButylTape P15E are used to install DuPont™ Plantex® fabrics. The difference between the two tapes is that RootBarrier® ButylTape P10MS is double-sided, while RootBarrier® ButylTape P15E is one-sided.

When soil is covered with DuPont™ Plantex® Platinium, you may have to work around trees. To avoid offering opportunities to invasive weeds at such spots, we have developed RootBarrier® TopCover. This product is made from 100% recycled rubber snippets and it serves as a ‘rubber bunker’ around the tree. Some of the advantages of this product are that it does not hamper the growth of the tree and it is permeable to water.

When DuPont™ Plantex® Platinium has to be placed on sloping ground, an additional RootBarrier® Erosion Mat is installed. This prevents the underlying soil from shifting.

Installation of root control products
For the installation of our root control products, RootBarrier® ButylTape WO25 was developed. It is suitable for fixing RootBarrier® 325, 360, 420 UV and DuPont™ Plantex® RootProtector.

Another way of joining root protection screens is the RootBarrier® Click Connection. This narrow clip was developed specially to join RootBarrier® root protection screens simply and quickly.

To enable simple and quick securing of HDPE, the RootBarrier® Connector was developed. It is a lightweight narrow clip of which the ends overlap, so that impenetrability to roots is guaranteed as much as possible.

For a finishing touch to the RootBarrier® Connector system there is the RootBarrier® Cover Cap. Placing this cap ensures a neat and safe finish to the RootBarrier® Connector.

There is also another option for the installation of HDPE screens: Aluminum joining strips. These strips are placed on either side of the overlap and fastened by means of the included screws.
